One of the world's leading logistics companies is moving its business service centre into WING’s office building
2026-01-07
DHL Supply Chain, the business service centre of one of the world's leading logistics companies, has chosen the mixed-use Liberty, developed by WING, as its new office headquarters in Budapest. The company will occupy more than 3,000 square meters of office space this September, bringing the 40,000-square-metre multi-functional development project to 95% occupancy.
Located at the gateway to the city centre and awarded a BREEAM Excellent rating, Liberty is set to welcome another prestigious international tenant: DHL Supply Chain will establish its new Budapest centre on the second floor of the office building, covering more than 3,000 square metres for approximately 400 employees. DHL chose Liberty due to its prime location, employee-oriented community services, and flexible, efficient work environment. IO Partners represented DHL Supply Chain in the transaction.
We are honoured that DHL Supply Chain, a global leader in logistics, has chosen Liberty as a tenant alongside other major companies such as AutoWallis, Flowserve, and Zenitech. This decision confirms that the Liberty’s concept truly meets the expectations of international companies. We believe that the modern, sustainable, and inspiring work environment we offer creates long-term value for our partners,
said Gábor Angel, Deputy CEO of WING responsible for office developments.
The opening of our new office building marks a true milestone in our journey. It represents far more than a change of address—this space has been a carefully designed as a home for our future. It will be a place where creativity is encouraged, collaboration is natural, and excellence in Command Centre operations becomes part of our everyday rhythm. This new environment reflects who we are and where we are going. It will offer room for teamwork, innovation, and the forward-looking design that will shape the next chapter of our organization. Every colleague will find a space that supports their way of working, whether for focused thinking, dynamic problem-solving, or shared creation. The new building also demonstrates our commitment to long-term growth in Hungary. It highlights that we are moving into a modern, sustainable, and innovative environment that supports our future-oriented operations. It will also be a place where we can proudly welcome our customers — showing not only our professional teams, services, and tools, but the culture and spirit behind them. This building embodies our purpose: to deliver with quality, to innovate with ambition, and to build a future we can all be proud of. As we prepare to step into this new home, we do so with excitement, confidence, and a shared commitment to shaping what comes next.
– explained Katalin Angyal, Director Budapest Command Centre at DHL Supply Chain.
Among the key objectives of the project was to identify a modern development that would meet the company’s long-term sustainability requirements, while also fulfilling the financial criteria underpinning the relocation and ensuring the consistent adherence to a strict timeline. Based on the combination of these objective and subjective considerations, Liberty, developed by WING, proved to be the optimal choice,
said Tamás Pál, Business Development Director at iO Partners.
Located in Budapest’s 9th district at the intersection of Könyves Kálmán Boulevard and Albert Flórián Road, Liberty offers excellent transport connections and stands out in terms of sustainability: it operates entirely on green electricity and has a near-zero energy consumption. Tenants can enjoy an approximately 1,000-square-meter internal garden, as well as a wide range of well-being and comfort services: thanks to the three- and four-star hotels also located in the building, people also have access to the restaurant and café, the Skybar, and event rooms. Additionally, the community rooftop terrace features a beach bar with its own BBQ and a view of the Gellért Hill, a rooftop sports field and running track, bicycle and scooter storage, changing rooms and showers, electric car chargers, and an underground garage with 650 spaces operating with Parkl system and dedicated WIGO parking spots.
Thanks to the Liberty, Népliget and its surroundings have transformed from a previously less valued location into a prestigious, dynamically developing office submarket. The wide range of high-quality services available here provides attractive opportunities not only for companies and employees but also for city residents and tourists.
