WING acquires development site on Hungary’s largest office market area

2025-11-03

WING Group has signed an agreement with GTC for the purchase of a development site located at 173–177 Váci Road, one of Budapest’s main business corridors, covering more than 2.1 hectares. According to the plans, approximately 470 modern apartments and a 23,000-square-meter modern office building will be built on the site to be acquired by WING as part of a mixed-use project. With this development, WING will significantly contribute to expanding the supply of high-quality office and residential properties along Váci Road and in its surroundings.

The development site covered by the agreement is located in the northern part of the block bordered by Váci Road, Szekszárdi Street, Madarász Viktor Street, and Szobor Street in Budapest. It boasts an excellent location, featuring direct metro access and convenient transport and service connections. The Váci Road office corridor is Hungary’s largest office market area, where WING has been a key player in the renewal process for 25 years — having developed, among others, the Atrium Park office building and the Kassák residential project. The new investment will further strengthen the district’s business and residential functions. The site is within walking distance of the Danube riverbank and several shopping centres, making it an attractive location for both employees and residents.

The residential development, planned in two phases and expected to begin in 2026, already has a finalized concept design, a definitive building permit, and a town planning agreement with the district municipality. As part of this agreement, the company commits to creating high-quality community spaces and green areas for local residents and people working in the area. These features will not only enhance the quality of the working environment but also create added value for those living in the area, thus contributing in a complex way to improving urban quality of life.

WING is one of the leading players in the Central European real estate market. In addition to Hungary, the company is also active in Poland and Germany, with a total developed portfolio of over 5.7 million square meters across the three countries, covering all segments of the real estate sector. WING is committed to developing high-quality buildings that represent lasting value in the long term.
